How to Include Bold Colors in Your Flower Girl Dresses

s

Beautiful colors are as much a part of wedding planning as finding the perfect filling for that delicious three-tiered wedding cake for the reception. While white and pastel are traditional colors for the big day, making a splash with vibrant color is becoming increasingly popular with the modern bride. It is easy to find bright and fun colors for bridesmaid dresses; however, finding a way to incorporate that same look for the flower girl dress can be a challenge if you are unsure how best to pull it off. Read these simple ideas on how to include bold colors in your flower girl dresses and then let your imagination be your guide.

Colorful Sashes

Perhaps one of the longest standing flower girl traditions is to have them walk down the aisle in the same color as the bride, be it white, ivory, palest pink or champagne. If this is something you have envisioned since the very first time you used a towel as a veil and made your best friend’s younger brother play the groom then you will be pleased to know you can take part in this dream scenario and include the color you desire. With bold, colorful sashes you can have the best of both of worlds for your wedding.

Something about little girls and large satin bows at the back of the waist seem to go hand in hand. The best thing about some of the more formal traditional flower girl dresses is that a bright colored bow in the same shade of your bridesmaid dresses looks as though it was made to be part of the dress from the beginning. Blue velvet and truffle are especially nice shades for this style of sash.

For a touch of additional elegance, consider a satin sash featuring some lovely beadwork at the waist. This embellishment is not only a nice touch of class, but also adds additional depth to the bold color statement you have chosen to make. To take this look a step further, select a floral pattern sash in some of the season’s hottest shades. Apple, sangria and lapis are as exciting as they are lovely.

Vivid Fabrics

For the bride willing to step away from some of the older traditions, selecting a dress in a non-standard color for the flower girl is the perfect way to give the youngest member of your bridal party a chance to dress up like the big girls in a brilliant color. The perfect dress to show off style and color is a tea-length ball gown with a full bodice and wide spaghetti straps. This satin dress will look right home with a sash in a coordinating color or standing on its own. Deep shades of regency purple, pink azalea, blue horizon and watermelon are fun hues for any wedding party color scheme.

Another great way to brighten up the standard flower girl dress is to find one with rich color already worked in with the white. A full-length A-line ball gown is a great place to start. Look for one with a lace up back and thin spaghetti straps to really make the little girl on the bridal party feel like a princess. With bands of color at the bodice and bottom hem, there is no limit to the number of looks from which you could select. For the boldest color statement, opt for black accents or a wild shade of apple. If a little less drama is the look you seek, cornflower blue accents are the best option.

Festive Accents

Perhaps the most common item that is overlooked by a bride when considering how best to add bold color to the flower girl dresses is the basket the flower girl will be carrying. Much thought may be put into the shade of petal or sprig of flowers within the basket, but the basket is usually left in white or a light shade of wood. Stir things up with ruched satin basket featuring an accent of the color of your choosing. Imagine the oohs and ahhs your flower girl will get walking down the aisle sprinkling petals from a basket with a bold apple or sangria accent, gathered by a jeweled embellishment. Of course, keep in mind that the more vivacious color walks down the aisle ahead of you, the more striking you will be in your diamond white bridal gown!

These ideas can help you include color in your flower girl dresses. For those brides who wish to transcend “tradition” and shake things up a bit, this is a great way to do exactly that. By adding color to your flower girl dresses and other areas of the wedding, you will create a unique event that will stand out from other weddings.

Leather Wallets The Accessory For Men

Wallets have emerged from humble functional origins to become stylish accessories of opulent indulgences. We cover the new breed of wallets here in a short essay of product reviews and historic anecdotes.

Since the 80’s a few brand names have perpetuated new creative directions for men’s leather accessories, elevating quality standards and increasing choice and availability. Setting new benchmarks of competition has led to the emergence of bold new styles for men, giving us new ways to express taste and character.

Designers like, Simon Carter, Maxwell Scott and Veritas have brought wallets out of the dark and into the light.

Vivid colours embossed on their covers and linings with depictions of comic cartoon strips started appearing in the 80’s to challenge the position of more popular accessories like silk ties and cufflinks, but also give more opportunity to compliment.

Men’s wallets have recently been elevated to “fashion accessory” status, originally created to perform a specific function, to carry paper money; we’ve just given it a much needed face lift.

Maxwell Scott leather wallets and bags are constructed using vegetable tanned Italian leather with robust 100% cotton linings; they will endure the rigors of everyday use, while maintaining stylish appearances. Their range of card holders, men’s credit card wallets and coin wallets will make ideal gifts. Each wallet is cut stitched and trimmed by master Italian craftsmen who are well versed in all aspects of skilful leather work. Experience the functional comfort of fine Napa leather wallets.

Simon Carter came up with a real winner, the Jeans wallet, made from ultra fine, calf hide, slim and thin, with just enough compartments for cards and cash. It slips nicely into the back pocket of even the tightest jeans with ease and it feels so good in the hand.

SageBrown is a luxurious brand of beautiful leather accessories for ladies and gentlemen. Handmade from the finest leather and materials, SageBrown has become an established brand of elegant, sophisticated and classic designs, synonymous with quality.

With an infinite choice of colours and textures, select from a vast range of beautifully designed briefcases, portfolios, wallets, purses, bags, small leather goods and accessories, luxuriously lined in suede.

Their own unique collection, under the Veritas brand name is a prestigious range of high quality cufflinks and leather accessories, all beautifully presented in the purple and sky blue box. Veritas also produces bespoke and own label designs for a wide variety of clients. They take original ideas, and through design and prototype stages turn your brief into a unique finished product, exclusively your own, right down to the bespoke packaging in your own corporate colours.

It could be as simple as Purveying silver designer cufflinks which reflect your corporate motif or as complex as a complete collection of leather accessories based on an original theme and colour palette.

Patrick Cox wallets are simply an invitation to handle luxury leather everlasting, just a touch each time will satisfy your senses, a good enough excuse to drawing it for any occasion, not to attract comment, just for the sheer pleasure it brings to touch. You can traipse up and down the high street and surf the net but you will be hard pressed to find anything that compares admirably. Patrick Cox shoes have always taken centre stage, now his wallets come out of the dark, against an autumn landscape.

The Wallet emerged almost immediately after the introduction of paper currency to the West in the 1600s. (The first paper currency was introduced in the New World by the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1690.) Prior to the introduction of paper currency, purses (resembling simple drawstring leather pouches) were used for storing coins. Early wallets were made primarily of cow or horse leather and included a small pouch for printed calling cards.

No matter how functional they’ll never achieve the same status as the more decorative men’s fashion accessories, like silk ties, lapel badges and the everlasting silver cufflink.

The modern bi-fold wallet with multiple "card slots" achieved its uniform standard size in the early 1950s with the introduction of the first credit cards in 1951. Wallet design remained mostly unchanged throughout most of the late 20th century, while today wallet design has exploded into myriad shapes, designs, and colours from dozens of designers.

Traditional Wedding Costume in Southeast Asia

A simple wedding dress doesn’t contain many details and most of the modern style wedding dress today applying this concept in their design. The color and style for a simple wedding dress must meet the basic requirement of elegant, presentable and feminine. Some wedding dresses design nowadays still constitutes religion and culture of the wedding participants. However here I would like to share with you seven traditional wedding dresses in the world.

Malay “Baju Kurung”
Unlike other simple beach wedding dresses, “Baju Kurung” is the traditional Malay costume worn by Malay bride during their wedding ceremony. This simple wedding dress did required specific skills for sewing but it is not complicated as kimono and “Hanfu”. This dress is widely worn by women in Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Myanmar and Cambodia. However, beside “Baju Kurung”, other famous traditional costumes like “Kebaya” also worn by some Malay women on their wedding occasions. The baju kurung wedding gown has been sewing by a special fabric called “songket” which containing lots gold and silver string within. Many of the young designers has combined the fashion styles and concept for these two dresses and produced another type of costume called “kebarung”. Same to Kimono and “Hanfu”, these simple wedding dresses are not convenient for movement.

Indian “Lehnga”
“Lehnga” is a kind of skirt worn generally in combination with Odhani tucked into it at the waist. “Lehnga” used as wedding dresses in some locations in India but not applicable for all. However, some Indian bride still prefers to wear “Sari” as their wedding costume comparing to “Lehnga”. If “Lehnga” considered as simple wedding dresses then what I would like to emphasis is “Sari” is much more complicated. These elegant simple wedding dresses have created lots of convenient for bride’s movement during the day of their wedding ceremony. “Lehnga” basically derived from the meaning of Sanskrit and standing for the limbs, waist and “anga”.

Vietnamese “Ao dai”
The “Aodai” is a national costume worn by Vietnamese women on important occasions. This dress looks elegant, straight, simple and presentable. Besides it also consider one of the cheap
">simple wedding dresses in the world, cheap not in terms of the quality but cheap in the prices. This beautiful elegant dress has been justified as the traditional wedding dresses in Vietnam. Vietnamese bride would need to wear it during their wedding ceremony. However, the style worn today for “Aodai” is modernization of the “ao ngu than” and inspired by Manchu in the 19th century. “Ao dai’s” are classic examples for simple wedding dresses as it is only constitute a tight fitting silk tunic fabric fashion style. They are also equivalent garment for Vietnam man as their wedding gown called “ao gam”.
