Winter Fashion

Each year I have the chore of having to rearrange my wardrobe for each season of fashion. Winter and summer are the worst as it means a drastic change each time as I rush to the shops for a new jumper or coat. I am always unprepared for the winter. Summer is fine as it usually means me stripping down to my underwear and taking the less is more approach.
This winter it seems that the black winter trench coat is in again with the double up buttons to make you look like Captain Jack from Torchwood. It's happening more and more each year with darker and gloomier colours which are just dull. Why is it that the British just wear drab colours? I know it's good to get in with the season, but why not throw in a bit of red, orange and green into the mix? A red scarf would go great with a black coat and adds that extra bit of character.
If anything the winter is the worst season for shopping, lots of people rushing to buy things in for Christmas and don't even get me started on the weather! That's when I found internet shopping last year, I knew about it, but I wasn't sure if a website was safe or not to shop on due to hackers etc. I was then watching the news about a record year for online retail and that shoppers are more likely to be a victim of fraud on the street. So I got on my laptop and started hunting for some bargains on the internet. In total I managed to save myself around £150 on my Christmas shopping by looking carefully for early sales and just low prices. I do admit that there are some things in shops which you can't get on the internet. I went to the Abercrombie & Fitch store in London about a month back to buy a new shirt and was amazed by the choice offered compared to what there is in some online stores. Then again, there are some truly unique items on the internet which shopkeepers won't sell. Some online retailers are really helping the online shopper to save even more money and even tempt more people with exclusive or limited edition items. I wouldn't know where to look for limited edition clothes but a quick search on Google tells me where and that's what I love about online shopping.
Winter fashion is often rather frumpy with turtle neck jumpers and the thick woolly socks. This is great for say meeting up with family, but what if you want to go to a club? Summer Fashion still wins as it is flirtatious and colourful which shows off you're your full self. Who wants to be dancing in a jumper? I certainly don't! When I start dancing, you don't want to get in my way as I really do go for it!
Winter Fashion is good in some aspects as I get to look like something from a 19th century Dickens novel, at the same time I much prefer a hot British summer any day.
